“I had my hair transplant at Dr Serkan Aygin Clinic on 7th January, and overall I’ve had a very positive experience. I’d been losing my hair since my mid-20s (now 41), and after a lot of research where I saw this clinic kept coming up, plus seeing a mates results firsthand, I decided to go ahead. From the start, communication was excellent. Everything is done via WhatsApp and responses were always quick and clear. They guide you through each step, including what to do before travelling, what to bring, and what to expect. When I arrived in Istanbul, the airport pickup was smooth despite how big the airport is, and I was taken straight to the hotel. Once you land, you’re assigned a dedicated coordinator who looks after you throughout the process. They explain the schedule, confirm your consultation and surgery times, and are always available if you have any questions, which made the whole experience feel very organised and reassuring. The hotel itself is fairly basic (similar to a Premier Inn/Travelodge), but perfectly fine for the purpose. The clinic is very close by, with plenty of places to eat nearby. The clinic itself is modern, spacious, and feels high-end. It is busy, but that actually gave me confidence in their experience. During the consultation, the medical team carefully assessed my hair and walked me through the plan. I didn’t meet Dr Serkan Aygin personally, but I was seen by a lead consultant and experienced medical team who clearly do this day in, day out, and everything was explained thoroughly. The hairline design was discussed in detail, and I appreciated that they focus on creating a natural, age-appropriate look rather than a straight, artificial line. The procedure is carried out by experienced medical teams who clearly specialise in this day in, day out, and I felt in very safe hands. My procedure took around 8 hours with just over 5,600 grafts. Overall it was surprisingly pain-free! The only discomfort was briefly during beard extraction, but they respond immediately if you mention any pain. The team checked in regularly throughout. Post-op care was well organised. You’re given medication, clear instructions, and a follow-up wash the next day. The clinic also stays in touch after you return home, checking in regularly and asking for progress photos, which I found very reassuring. At just under 3 months, I’m seeing early growth at the front, with the crown area slower as expected (they explain this clearly upfront). The hairline already looks natural, which was important to me. Overall, the experience was very smooth, professional, and well managed from start to finish. It is a busy operation, but I felt well looked after throughout. I’d definitely recommend them and I’m looking forward to seeing the results develop further over the coming months. I’ve shared before and after photos for context, bear in mind I'm at the 3 month stage so still early days but I'm still very happy. I've had a few haircuts in this time (just because the sides grow out way quicker than the top so looks funny). “Going on my 3rd month after receiving my transplant with Vera Clinic. So far, it's not looking bad at all, so I will leave my review of the entire process. Getting a hold of them is not hard and they are quite good at staying in touch and offering you options. After you do your consultation, they'll let you know what would work best for you, however, I was told I'd get 5k grafts (hold on to that thought). So, i scheduled my surgery with them, it was within a week, but they still accommodated me. The procedure and rest time take 3 days, but I wanted to spend an extra day to see Istambul, so they were kind enough to give me one extra day in the hotel for free (THANK YOU for that). Arrived at the airport, instructions were clear, so got picked up quickly. Hotel was amazing and check in was fast. Next day, for the consultation, after a review of my scalp, I was told my hair was thinning or too thin, then they made my outline where the grafts would be removed and replaced... then, after agreeing to pay, you pay (Note: Cash comes with more savings than using card). After that, you change clothes then pictures before/after shaving your head. Then, off to the surgery. I was introduced to the entire team and off we went. Not going to lie, the Anesthesia was the most painful part, the rest I couldn't feel (it was still uncomfortable but manageable). Mid procedure (after extraction), it was lunch break, which was quite delicious for what it was (a quick sandwich and small dessert), it was off to start the 2nd part, inserting the grafts. This process was just as the extraction, it didn't hurt, but it was annoying. There was a spot which did hurt, and I was offered more anesthesia (for free, btw), but when I was told they were almost done, I just manned up. We finished, bandages applied and went on to talk to an advisor that gives you a package with pills (pain killers, anti inflammatory and anti-biotics) instructions on when to take them and how to sleep (they showed me first, then gave me the instructions). A short wait then i was transported back to hotel to rest. The trying to sleep is complicated, but eventually you get used to it for that night. Next day, after breakfast, you get transported for your hair wash and red light therapy. Then they instruct you on how to care for your hair for the next few weeks. You are given a shampoo and a moisturizer and a set of instructions. You are also offered some other products to help speed up the healing and growth, but you can decline them (they are not pushy). Finally, they give you your certificate for the operation/warranty, I only received 3500 grafts (not 5000), but again, my hair has been thinning so there was not much they can do, so be ready for that. Next day, off it was to the airport. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. My only thing was that everything happened so fast at times that I missed some of the info (I thought I didn't get my PRP shot, but they told me they did that first (they just didn't tell me at the moment). I definitely recommend Vera Clinic to anyone that wants to have a hair transplant, they are pretty good at what they do!”
